EXIM Thailand Organizes Training on International Trade Risk
EXIM Thailand Organizes Training on International Trade Risk Management for Bank of the Lao PDR Personnel
Mrs. Warangkana Wongkhaluang, Senior Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), along with EXIM Thailand’s executives, organized a training program on export credit insurance facilities for the personnel of the Bank of the Lao PDR (BOL) in Vientiane, Lao PDR, on March 21, 2024. They received a warm welcome from Mr. Soulysak Thamnuvong, Director General of BOL’s Monetary Policy Department. Throughout the program, both parties exchanged knowledge and experiences regarding financial services and products for Thai-Lao entrepreneurs. In this regard, EXIM Thailand offers various forms of financial support and credit services, including export credit insurance, which is a crucial tool in managing international trade risks amidst economic and political uncertainties. It protects exporters from the risk of non-payment by overseas buyers resulting from the rejection of goods receipt, payment refusal, or bankruptcy, which can significantly impact new or small-sized exporters. This aligns with EXIM Thailand’s role as a Green Development Bank, driving sustainable development.
