Transport Ministry Unveilded Thailand’s 20 Years Ttansportation System Development Plan.

In the opening of The exhibitions and discussions, creating awareness and understanding about the development strategy of Thaland’s 20 years transportation system and promoting the development of transportation and safety knowledge for the year 2019 under the name “ONE Transport for All 2019: Mobility Connect Technology” with a special talk on the topic “All Modes of Transportation Meet Thailand’s Need”
Mr. Pisak Chitwiriya Vasin Director General of Rural Roads , Deputy Governor of the Ministry of Transport Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Inspector General of the Ministry of Transport Deputy Governor, Ministry of Transport head of the department ,more than 400 people private individuals and the media attended .
Mr. Akom said that The Ministry of Transport has established 20 years (2018 – 2037) strategy for the development of the Thai transportation system and the development strategy of transportation infrastructure of 2015 – 2022 to change the transportation model, reduce the cost of transportation management, increase the efficiency of being the main trading gateway and linking the economic areas of the country, provide safety, convenience, and speed in traveling and raise the quality of life for people, which will be an important tool in strengthening the economy and led to being the regional transportation hub, according to the 20 years goals of the national strategy with a framework of operations consisting of Integrated Transport Systems to cover and link between transportation patterns, transport services for international standards and create satisfaction for people development, improvement of law and organization reform (Regulations and Institution), Human Resource Development, both public and private sectors. Including the use of technology and innovation to develop transportation systems (Technology and Innovation)
This exhibition and dialogue create awareness and participation of people, including creating confidence for all sectors
Mr. Arkom Termpittayapaisith Minister of Transport Presented a project at the Ministry of Transport to allow for progress in March 2019, a total of 21 projects, including double track, Khon Kaen-Nong Khai, Chira-Ubon Ratchathani road, Pak Nam Pho-Den Chai, Den Chai-Chiang Mai, Chumphon-Surat Thani periods Surat Thani – Songkhla, Hat Yai – Padang Besar period and Ban Phai – Nakhon Phanom high speed train, Bangkok – Nakhon Ratchasima High Speed Train connecting 3 airports (Don Mueang-Suvarnabhumi-U-Tapao), High-speed rail Bangkok-Hua Hin, Orange Line, Cultural Center – Bangkhunnon, deep red suburban lines, Rangsit – Thammasat University and Taling Chan light-red line Salaya and Taling Chan – Siriraj Road, construction of a special highway between Rama 3 – Dao Khanong – Outer Ring Road on the west, Laem Chabang Port extension Chabang Phase 3: Improve Bangkok Port (Khlong Toei) and improve Ranong Port by air, supply 38 new fleet of aircraft repair center project and aircraft parts (MRO) satellite building project Suvarnabhumi Airport and expand Chiang Mai Airport Total investment value over 1.29 trillion baht.

Including the presentation of a strategic overview of Thailand’s 20 years, transportation system development divided into 4 phases: Phase 1 (2018 – 2022), a total investment of 1,714.241 billion Baht. Most projects have been implemented and some concrete has been seen, while some projects is near completion, such as the bridge over the Moei River No. 2, the special highway between the city of Bang Pa-in-Korat which will be able to open for service this year. Betong Airport Will be open to procude service in 2020.
The second phase will be a project implemented in the year 2023 – 2027, a total investment value of 636.863 billion baht.
Phase 3 is implemented in the year 2028 – 2532 with a total investment of 418.121 billion Baht.
Phase 4, implemented in the year 2028- 2037, total investment value 318.436 billion Baht ,
The exhibition and discussion of “One Transport for All 2019: Mobility Connect Technology” will be held three more times, including the Northern Region in Chiang Mai. Northeastern region in Nakhon Ratchasima and Southern provinces in Krabi.
At 13.00, on the same day Mr. Arkom Termpittayapaisith Minister of Transport also met The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, Mr. E-U-Hon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Thailand and the delegation to pay a courtesy call on the occasion of taking the office in Thailand with representatives of the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning And related agencies welcomed this opportunity to discuss the issue of the development of rail transport infrastructure between Thailand-South Korea Joint investment in the Eastern Region Economic Corridor Project (EEC) of South Korean private companies Study of the development of railway routes in the east-west direction (EWEC), development of public buses in Thailand to be electric power systems (EV) or diesel-electric systems (Hybrid). In addition, discuss the issues of exchange of experience in management systems. South Korea’s efficient road and highway traffic and the development of Smart Cities for development that still stands
