Company Exhibition Organizer Company Limited (NEO) cooperates with TAT to hold Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2020 and Traveler Expo 2020, the Grand Outdoor-Lifestyle Tourism Festival, to present services and products of diving, golf, camping, trekking, cliff climbing, and cycling for responding to all types of tourism of new generation and challenge lovers. This festival will provide another superior travel experience with up to 80% off promotion and several fun activities. Since new generation has been interested in outdoor, adventure, and lifestyle tourism increasingly, niche tourism group has been grown continuously and it is expected that over 130 million baht will be spent in this event.
Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, Managing Director of N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Company Limited (NEO) said that Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2020 is the only golf and diving festival gathering the most complete products and services in Thailand and considered as the most vigorous festival in ASEAN. This festival has been continuously held over than 17 years and it has been grown every year to meet with new target groups as well as outdoor, adventure, and lifestyle tourism market that has been grown during past 3-4 years. Consequently, Traveler Expo 2020, the grand lifestyle tourism festival, will be also held for responding to demands of travelers who love outdoor activities, for example, camping, trekking, cliff climbing,, cycling, etc. This festival will be held during October 1st – 4th, 2020, EH 106 Hall, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC).
“Thailand Golf&Dive Expo and Traveler Expo 2020 will be a part to promote tourism industry, especially adventure and lifestyle tourism, to be grown in long-term. In this event, standard products and services from several entrepreneurs will be gathered and presented in this event in the form of one-stop service. Moreover, many products from several leading brands will be available with promotion up to 80% off. It is expected that over 130 million baht will be spent in this event.” Mr. Sakchai said.
This event is divided into 3 zones including:
1. Thailand Golf Expo 2020 – It is a trade show of complete golf products and services provided by several leading golf course entrepreneurs in Thailand, for example, Green Fee Packages, accommodation in golf courses, golf equipment, clothes, foot ware, and accessories. Moreover, there will be a competition activity, “1 Put Per 100,000 Baht” that is the annual highlight of this festival. In this competition activity, golfers can participate in winning the prize with the total value over than 100,000 baht. For newbies who are interested in golf, Golf Clinic will be provided by Mr. Noppakhun Wonglor (Pro Nop), the owner of Golfing Ground Performance Center, in order to provide some suggestions started from basic techniques to equipment purchasing techniques.
2. Thailand Dive Expo 2020 (TDEX) – It is the only international diving festival in Thailand gathering complete scuba diving, free diving, and snorkeling products and services including international standard diving schools, diving trip packages, resorts and accommodation, live aboard, diving equipment, accessories, underwater cameras and housing. Moreover, there will be many special activities, for example, hyperbaric chamber exhibition held by Underwater and Aviation Medicine Division, Naval Medical Department, some seminars on underwater resources conservation moderated by many competent agencies, diving techniques, photography techniques, underwater photos exhibition with photos from contestants of the 15th TDEX Underwater Photo Contest under the theme of “The Treasure: All marine life is our world’s valuable treasure” conveying beauty and magnificence of marine life that is the treasure of the world.
3. Traveler Expo 2020 – It is the lifestyle tourism festival that will be firstly held under More Than Experience concept, to respond to demands of traveler who prefer activity tourism with independent lifestyle and passion in seeking for new things and challenges. This festival will gather many worthwhile travel packages including hotels, accommodations, trekking equipment, camping equipment, cliff climbing equipment, cycling equipment, and many more. There will be some amusing activities for wining various prizes, i.e., 2 types of cliff climbing competition including Speed Bouldering and Speed Campus.
Mr. Kritsana Kaewthamrong, the Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said that it was believed that Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2020 and Traveler Expo 2020 will be another festival helping to stimulate Thai economy and domestic tourism. Diving, golf, camping, trekking, cliff climbing, and cycling in various natural places and tourist destinations are interested by many tourists in premium and new generation groups with high purchasing power. This event is also consistent with Tourism Promotion Policy of Authority of Thailand (TAT) aiming to make Thai people to get over missing nature and to resilient domestic tourism industry under intention of Back to Nature Project aiming to stimulate frequency of natural traveling in central region along with Responsible Tourism concept enabling tourists to learn and experience with natural integrity. Moreover, TAT also focuses on improving safety and hygiene standard of tourism or Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) in order to build confidence in travelling to tourists.
Ms. Kanokporn Damrongkul, Director of Exhibitions Department, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau or TCEB said that events supporting of TCEB was under policy of the organization in promoting and developing convention and exhibition industry as the important mechanism for economic growth as well as promoting and driving “New Norm” organizing. In this COVID-19 situation, TCEB established a Re- Energizing Exhibition campaign to promote convention and exhibition under “New Norm” concept whereas TCEB supported hosted buyer program, hygiene management program and technology tools program, for example, Virtual Meeting Space, in order to connect this event with online community and support entrepreneurs with online convention and exhibition platform as the new option of MICE industry during COVID-19. In 2020, TCEB will apply such policy to promote conventions and exhibitions as well as Thailand Dive Expo 2020 that has been held by NEO annually with the aim to develop this festival as national diving industry festival. This festival is considered as another event that has been supported by TCEB continuously for 17 years because Thailand is one of dive destinations with beauty that is ranked in top chart of the world. In addition, tourism is also one of industries that will drive economy of Thailand.
