HSBC appoints Benjamin Wang as Global Private Banking Desk Head for Thailand
HSBC Global Private Banking has named Benjamin Wang as Desk Head for Thailand. With over two decades of experience in private banking and wealth management, Benjamin has been serving as Interim Desk Head for Thailand since July 2024.
In his role, Benjamin will lead the Thailand offshore and onshore teams based in Singapore and Bangkok, focusing on driving performance and client coverage strategies. He has a proven track record of managing ultra high net worth (UHNW) and high net worth (HNW) client relationships across Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, as well as delivering strong business results.
Based in Singapore, Benjamin will report to Hammad Hashmi, Market Head Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, on an entity basis and Abhishek Mehrotra, Market Head, Southeast Asia International, on a functional basis.
