10 big industries join to bring a new 5G Digital
26 June 2020: The coordinate from the strength of leading 10 big industries, which is the great veins of the country, to join the mission of bringing 5G technology to recover the country. This time led by the telecommunications industry, AIS offered to be the center to invest and develop 5G network, the new technology of the nation, which is like the backbone of the central digital infrastructure that holds ready to support and enhance the competitiveness of all sectors.
AIS joins forces with significant industries in the EEC area, i.e., Amata, Sahapattana, WHA, BBS Joint Venture, Co-investors in the development project of U-Tapao Airport and Eastern Aviation City, Laem Chabang Port, Port Authority of Thailand, Central Retail in the retail industry, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Sustainable Development Sector from Thammasat University, and the education sector is IPST to utilize 5G to benefit the economy, society, and people across the country, including attracting foreign investment, increasing productivity, which creates employment, career, income and better quality of life for Thais.

– Strengthen with the SEA: Bringing 5G technology to Laem Chabang Port business, as the first in Southeast Asia, to control container lifting cranes remotely, as well as CCTV Via 5G security systems and Security Control Building to build a Thai port to become a Smart Port.
– Strengthen with the AIR: Enhancing U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport to be the Smart Airport of the New Normal era with 5G and digital technology, namely Facial Recognition and Object Detection.

Consequently, the use of high-speed wireless network technology such as 5G will support the Port Authority’s operation effectively, both in terms of sending and exchanging information via the E-logistic Platform, and automating the process linkage from the moment the ship enters the port by using the tools to lift containers from the vessel to the container terminal and prepare to deliver to customers.
