Minor Protest Against AOT Unfair Rejection.
27-5-2019—MINOR protest against AOT’s unfair rejection, after AOT’s staff judged the company disqualified and refused MINOR to submit the proposal to compete to operate a commercial activity management within the passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Today at the press conference held at the head office of Minor International Public Company Limited (MINOR), Mr. Stephen Andrew Hoyski Commercial CEO of MINOR announced AOT’s unfair rejection against MINOR’s document submission that
“The company strongly disagrees with AOT’s refusal to accept the company’s proposal. The company has a lot of experience in food business management. Beverage and retailing in Thailand according to the proposal submission documents. The company is a large operator in the food business and retail in Thailand. The company manage the business operations both by themselves and through the subsidiaries which the company owning and holding the majority of shares.” said Mr. Stephen Andrew Hoyski.
He disclosed that MINOR is operating many relevant business as follows;
1. The Minor Food Group Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries Restaurant operator
2. Minor Corporation Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries Business operators selling fashion and lifestyle products
3. Royal Garden Plaza Company Limited, the operator of the Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya and the Turtle Village Plaza and
4. Chaopraya Resort Company Limited, the operator of Riverside Plaza Shopping Center
“Details of such business operations appear clearly in the certificate of business experience of the company, which is a part of the company’s auction documents which was already given to AOT. It is commonly known that the company has taken such a great business management throughout Thailand and abroad. The company therefore believes that AOT’s staff’s rejection reason is not accurate. It is also not comply with the requirements of the submission document.”
“The Company believes that the best way for AOT’s bidding process should include all proposals that meet the qualifications according to the document.AOT’s refused to accept the company’s proposal is conflict against the auction process.The company urged AOT to immediately consider AOT’s decision, for the benefit of fairness.”
Referring to the announcement of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT)
on 29 March 2019 regarding the granting of rights to operate a commercial activity management within the passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport and documents for submission of proposals ( Operation No. 4/2562 Granting rights to manage business activities within the passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport (proposal submission documents)
Minor International Public Company Limited is one of the buyer bough the documents and propose the submission for the right to operate business management activities within the passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport and has submitted proposals as mentioned in The announcement of AOT on May 22, 2019.
“It appears that AOT staff has refused to accept the offer of the company (Without confirmation in writing to the company) given the reasons that because the company lack of operational experience as specified in Article 3 and Article 5 of the AOT announcement and Article 3 of the proposal submission document. Which is not accurate while referring to the announcement of Airports of AOT, regarding the granting of rights to operate a commercial activity management within the passenger terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport dated 29 March 2019 and the documents for proposals submission Operation No. 4/2562 Granting rights.” said MINOR Commercial CEO.
