EXIM Thailand to Kick off EXIM Core Banking Project
Mr.Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand); Mr. Andrew Tan, Managing Director of Silverlake Axis Group; Mr. Gyorgy Ladics, CEO of Silverlake Symmetri Group; and Mr. Pornchai Krivichian, CEO of Information and Communication Networks Plc., jointly opened a meeting on EXIM core banking system development project, at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office
on February 23, 2023, to boost service provision and step up toward digital banking in conjunction with enhancing operation for greater competitive potential of Thai entrepreneurs, SMEs in particular, on the global front.
Under this development project, EXIM Thailand will apply cutting-edge digital technology and innovation in the design of new architecture to accommodate the transition to cloud technology. This covers development of its loan origination and operation system, such as interest rate and installment payment setting, collection of interest, opening/closing of deposit accounts, checking of balance, cashier cheque proceeding, and services otherwise. Application programming interface (API) gateway capabilities with external systems, e.g. Open API or REST API, and connectivity with government agencies and alliance networks will also be augmented to enable real-time, in-depth and multi-dimensional access. This will efficiently support entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs, in capturing updated information and developments alongside financial facilities easily, promptly and safely on digital platforms, thus uplifting Thai entrepreneurs’ competitiveness and building fresh opportunities for their business expansion overseas.
