Cabinet Extend Free Visa On Arrival Until Chinese New Year and Songkran Festival.
8-1-2019–Mr.Nattaporn Jatisripitak Adviser to Minister of Prime Minister Office disclosed that Cabinet Meeting today extend Free Visa On Arrival (VOA) from 13 Jan 2019 to 30 April 2019 to have the promotion cover Chinese New Year andSonkrant Festival after it made the number of tourists increased over 70% Year On Year during the past period of Free VOA since 15 November 2018.
The number of tourist passed through major Airport gate of Thailand was increased over 100 % since the Free VOA for the traveller from 20 Countries and 1 especial economic zone, incliding the number of passenger passed through Suwannabume Airport, Donmeuang Airport, Chainagmai Airport and Phuket Airport.The income Thai economic gain from the measure is about more than 4 times more than the fee government provided for the tourists free of charge, according to Mr.Nattapporn.
