EGAT reboost Mae Moh Festival

9-11-2018– On Friday November 9, Energy Minister chaired the opening ceremony of Mae Moh Festival 2018 opening ceremony EGAT cooperate with Lampang province and Tourism Authority of Thailand to boost Great Mae Moh Festival 2018 during 9-11 November 2018 in the only Lignite coal-fired power plant surrounding, (after skipped for two years) to let tourist to prove that the community can be well developed surround the clean coal fired power plant.
According to Energy Minister, Mae Moh lignite source has been using for Mae Moh power production for 40 years and it was forecasted to be enough for the power production till the next 25 years. The average price of electricity in Thailand was pulled down by the lower cost of lignite compared with others more expensive fuel used in power production.
Mae Moh Festival 2018 was open by The dance show of 550 Thai voluntary north traditional dancers with great PooJa Drummer performance and Thai super star singing in stage, the festival was held under the concept “The Light of Happiness and Comfortable That was Ligthen up by The Remembrance”.This year Mae Moh prepared Mae Moh Mine Panorama View Point, the field of variety flowers, including lignite museum and slider competition on the high hill beautiful scene.
It was expected that hundred thousand of tourists will visit the festival this year.
