Maptaput Port’s TOR will be available for purchase 9-12 Nov. 2018.
5-11-2018—Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (I-EA-T) officially announced that on November 2nd
I-EA-T had announced the invitation of Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Phase III to investor and the TOR of the project’s Phase) will be available for purchase during 9-21 November 2018. I-EA-T will explain the term and condition of the investor on 27-28 November 2018.
Miss Somjin Pileuk, Governor of I-EA-T disclosed that Maptaput Port Phase III project is one of the five key urgent project to serve the investment in EEC area covering Chachengsao, Rayong and Chonburi province in the East of Thailand, including others provinces connected.
The total investment of the project is about 55.4 billion baht, divided into the public sector of 12.9 billion baht and the private sector of 42.5 billion baht. Aiming to provide water transport infrastructure to serve industries by increasing the capacity to contain and convey liquefied natural gas and liquid cargo, including to expand public shipping services.
The third phase of Map Ta Phut Industrial Port Development Plan is divided into two phases, comprised of
Phase 1 : I-EA-T will jointly invest with the private sector in infrastructure development and providing about 200 rai for the development of the superstructure worth about 47.9 billion baht. IEAT join invest at a net present value of no more than 12.900 billion baht and 35 billion baht of private sector, including dredging and reclamation of 1,000 rai (equivalent to 160 hectares) area obtained under the infrastructure development plan, to accommodate a construction of the ports (project site).
This area will be considered a part of Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, consisting of 550 rai or 88 hectares during-construction site pond, with the total length of port foreland being 2,200 meters, which comprise of
1) infrastructure works such as Navigation channel dredging, a maneuvering basin, infrastructure development to accommodate ports construction, rock revetment construction, breakwater construction, service terminal, utility works such as road works, plumbing system, electrical communication system, solid waste, treatment system, storm drainage and flood prevention system, lighting system, electrical communication system, firefighting system,etc and Navigation Aid Systems, including other relevant works.
2) Port Superstructure Construction Works including an operation of other business concerned comprised of : A LNG port with 3 berths covering the area of approximately 200 rai ( 32 hetares) with 1,415 meter long port foreland.
An investment will be divided into two parts; Part1: to support the cargo volume of not less than five million tons per annum and Part2: to increase the cargo carrying capacity to 10.8 million tons per annum which were expected to be available by 2025.
Phase 2 Port Superstructure Works , whereby the private sector will invest in the development of a 4 million ton / year jetty for liquid cargo. It is expected to commence construction in 2023 and be operational by 2025. The amount of investment will be about 4.3 billion baht and to invest 3.2 billion baht to build 150 rai of space behind the port for the relevant business.
“Phase 3 of Map Ta Phut Port will serve as a port for the transportation of liquefied cargo and liquefied natural gas, which will be able to serve 15 million tons per annum more. It will be a public port that will support the transportation of the liquefied cargo and liquefied natural gas for petrochemical industry in the future, which are a key fundamental industries that will boost the Thai economy sustainably according to 20-year national development strategy, “said Governor of I-EA-T.
