KLeasing partners with Mitsubishi Motors Thailand
KASIKORN LEASING Co., Ltd. (KLeasing) has unveiled a green campaign for members of the Government Pension Fund (GPF) and their family members. When buying a new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, they will enjoy gifts and other exclusive offers. Presently, there are more than 1.17 million GPF members nationwide.
Mr. Tirachart Chiracharasporn, KLeasing Managing Director, said that “the battery electric vehicle (BEV) market in Thailand is thriving, thanks to the government’s measure of promoting BEVs and overwhelming response from buyers amid skyrocketing oil prices. In 2021, there were 1,954 new BEVs registered, and the figure reached approximately 1,645 units during the first four months of 2022, excluding those that may have been purchased during the recent Bangkok International Motor Show 2022. KASIKORN RESEARCH CENTER (KResearch) projects that sales of EVs will reach roughly 10,000 units in 2022, an increase of more than 412 percent YoY to at least 10 billion Baht. However, due to the limited number of charging stations in Thailand, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) have emerged as a more viable option as they can be powered by electricity and gasoline or diesel fuel.”
Meanwhile, KBank has unveiled the GO GREEN Together Project, notable as the first bank to help connect with and promote a comprehensive Green Ecosystem and Green Lifestyle in Thailand. In response to this project, KLeasing has collaborated with Mitsubishi Motors Thailand in offering exclusive offers to GPF members and their family members nationwide. When buying a new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and applying for an Auto Loan (New Car) with KLeasing from today until September 30, 2022, and following the loan approval and signing of a hire-purchase contract by October 31, 2022, they will receive premium gifts – a portable camping tent worth 2,650 Baht and a Lotus’s gift voucher worth 3,000 Baht per one purchased unit – while also enjoying other special privileges at the PHEV Authorized Dealer.
Mr. Eiichi Koito, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said “Mitsubishi Motors is a pioneer of EV in the world, and have been trying to develop the market in many regions. As Thai government has outlined a direction to go for electrification and has been encouraging to expand the EV market through many schemes and incentives, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, as part of Thai society, has been continuing our contribution to support the government’s EV direction, by starting with the local production of the Outlander PHEV, as this car can be used as EV in the city and can go long distance trip on two energies, either electricity or gasoline. We believe this technology is the most practical EV in the current market condition. With the collaboration campaign with Kasikorn Leasing for Government Pension Fund Member this time, more than 1.17 million GPF members countrywide will have the opportunity to access the EV, accelerating the country’s electrification.”
Through the collaboration, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand also offers special privileges, only for the GPF members and their family members when purchasing a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Such the privileges include (1) money support for home charger installation by THB 20,000, (2) free first-class insurance ‘Diamond Insurance’ for 1 year, (3) free Mitsubishi Service Package for 5 years, (4) free 24-hour emergency service for 5 years, (5) ‘Diamond’ warranty for 5 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first), and (6) battery warranty for 10 years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first), starting from today to September 30, 2022.
