SCB inks green loan deal worth two billion baht
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) recently inked a green loan deal worth two billion baht with Energy Absolute PCL (EA) for the company’s investment in electric bus leasing to companies that have been given concessions to operate bus services for the public
SCB is confident in the vision and potential of Energy Absolute PCL to become a clean energy leader with an investment plan in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, which contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and drives Thailand toward a low carbon society. The EA vision and potential are in line with SCB’s intention of striving to support businesses or projects with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions with green loans and project financing.
SCB Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Wholesale Banking Officer, and Chief Wealth Banking Officer Mr. Yunyong Thaicharoen and EA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Somphote Ahunai recently joined the deal signing ceremony at the SCB Academy at the SCB Head Office.
