Krungsri affirms its position as a “Regional Bank”, winning ‘Frontier Markets Issue of the Year’ from IFR Asia Awards 2022
Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) led by Mr. Wanchairabin Jitwattanatam (right), Head of Regional Business Division, Mrs. Banchoi Pattanapongpaibul, Head of Financial Institutions and Securities Services Division and Miss Jamjun Siriganjanavong, Head of Debt Capital Markets Department recently received “Frontier Markets Issue of the Year” from IFR ASIA Awards 2022 organized by International Financing Review Asia (IFR Asia), Asia’s leading magazine specializing in capital markets and investment banking. The award was granted to Krungsri as the advisor and Sole Lead Manager for Hattha Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Krungsri and one of the top five commercial banks in Cambodia, in issuing Thai Baht-denominated Bonds of THB 1.5 billion with 3-year tenor. The Thai Baht-denominated bonds, which matures in 2025, is the first debenture from Cambodia issuer in Thailand as an alternative investment for Thai investors to be able to access ASEAN cross-border bonds. This award symbolised the Bank’s commitment to increase competitiveness in the financial industry as the region’s trusted bank.
Earlier this year, Krungsri echoed another success in supporting Hattha Bank’s second Baht-denominated Bonds issuance of THB 1.3 billion, 3-year tenor that will be matured in 2026 with the issue rating of “BBB+” by TRIS Rating.
