KBank joins hands with University Technology Thonburi
In the development of technology and innovation for the processing, extraction and production of medicines from medicinal plants grown under the forest canopy as part of the Nan Sandbox project, with the aim of bolstering farm income and sustainably restoring Nan’s pristine headwater forests.

Prof. Dr.Suvit Seatia, (2nd from the left), President, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the development of technology and innovation for the processing, extraction and production of natural active pharmaceutical ingredients (NAPIs) which are in the midstream value chain of the development of medicines from medicinal plants grown under the forest canopy as part of the Nan Sandbox project. Aside from enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness, as well as upgrading the production of medicinal plants to the extraction of NAPIs on par with international standards, the MoU is aimed at promoting the benefits and value of medicinal plants in order to increase farm income and restore Nan’s pristine headwater forests, which are among the country’s most valuable natural resources and important headwater forests.
